Forge
your own blade from raw steel. This course introduces students to the
fundamentals of bladesmithing, including steel selection, shaping, beveling,
heat treating, and finishing. You'll learn how to safely forge, grind, and
harden a knife blade by hand. No prior experience required.
Students will
provide their own tools, safety gear, and materials. Your instructor will
review tools, materials, and supply needs with you on the first day of class. Estimated
initial cost of tools and materials: $150.00+. Please note, initial costs are
higher for new students because essential starter supplies are required.
