Summary
This course prepares students for an entry-level, light construction and basic residential electrical installations. Topics include static electricity, OHMs law, DC circuits, alternating & direct currents, indicators, transformers, capacitors, electronic safety, green building practices, blueprint reading, and regulatory NEC requirements for residential facilities. The skills acquired prepare the student for immediate employment in the electrical field. Students will also have the opportunity to obtain the 10-hour OSHA safety card, NCCER and Greenlee certifications. This course meets Electrician Apprenticeship requirements. Textbook required.
